About Unbroken by Us

Stephanie and Liam have been inseparable since childhood. When tragedy strikes at fifteen, Liam loses his parents and finds himself and his younger sister taken in by family in Copper Creek, Texas. Stephanie promises to be there for him—always. And she keeps that promise.

Years later, Liam has built a life in Copper Creek as a Blackwood cowboy, working the family ranch alongside his adoptive family. He's steady, protective, and dependable—everything Stephanie always knew he'd be. But watching her from a distance, year after year, has become unbearable. He's done pretending that what he feels is just friendship.

Stephanie has built a successful career in Dallas, but she's never been able to move on from the boy who became her anchor during the darkest moment of her life. When she returns to Copper Creek, she comes face to face with the man Liam has become—harder, more determined, and absolutely done with waiting.

But Stephanie is terrified. Of losing him. Of ruining their friendship. Of admitting that maybe, just maybe, he's been the one all along.

When years of restraint finally break, Liam is ready to fight for her—to show her that what they have is worth risking everything. But convincing Stephanie that their bond can survive becoming something more? That's the hardest battle he's ever fought.

Chapter One · Liam

Copper Creek, Texas

The Wedding Tree stretched its ancient arms above us, strings of lights turning the whole damn thing into something out of a fairy tale. Wyatt had his arm around Ivy, both of them glowing like they'd swallowed sunshine, and the sight of it made something twist hard in my chest.

My brother had fought for fourteen years to get his woman back. Fourteen years of missing her, wanting her, waiting for her to come home. And now here they stood under the tree that had seen every Blackwood milestone for two generations, celebrating that Ivy was finally, permanently, irrevocably home.

"You're next, Lee." Maggie's beer sloshed dangerously close to the rim when she hip-checked me like she owned the damn place—which, to be fair, she kinda did. "I can feel it in my bones."

My phone buzzed, yanking me out of my thoughts. LA area code. Something cold slithered down my spine. Stephy never called from unknown numbers…
